Summer Engagement Academy
The University of Houston-Clear Lake is hosting its first FREE summer program for African American male students. The S.E.A is an eight-week summer program (running June 5 – July 28) at University of Houston-Clear Lake which offers two credit-bearing courses, worth three credit hours each. The courses are College Algebra (MATH 1314) and Composition 1 (WRIT 1301). This program is designed to ensure that incoming students make a successful transition from high school to the university. This program has limited capacity; and it even provides free on campus living opportunities as well as free meals. Besser & Son Plumbing is looking to hire entry level plumber helpers. As you may know, we are a 3rd generation family run plumbing company based out of Pearland. We are looking for hard working, coachable individuals with an interest in starting a career. Little to no experience required although any mechanical background would be a plus!
We offer 1:1 plumbing/ helper training, support licensing and career path. Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with paid company holidays, health insurance and vacation days after 1 year. The hourly rate will be in the range of $10-13/hr commiserate with experience.
