.How do I find out more information about Turner High School?

  • Attend one of our Recruitment Nights for Information about our school and the opportunity to tour our campus.  These open house events are held at Turner College and Career High School from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Monday, November 4, 2024 and Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Are there any requirements to enroll?

  • When reviewing applications, we consider the following-
    • Turner College and Career High School is considered a “closed campus,” which means that a student must reside within the Pearland ISD boundary in order to attend.
    • Pearland ISD Transfer Eligibility Criteria found HERE.
    • Turner College and Career High School does provide Special Education Services. However, please note that Special Education Resource classes and Life-Skills programs are not offered.
  • If applicants meet the criteria above, they will be accepted on a first come/ first serve basis.

If I would like to attend Turner College and Career High School next year, how do I apply?

  •  For Current Pearland ISD students-
    • The application portal will open on Monday, 11/4/24 at 4:30pm.  The application will be available through your Skyward Family Access account (to access the application, one must use the Parent's login information, click here for a step by step guide).
  • For students who reside within the Pearland ISD Boundaries, but do not currently attend a PISD school, please contact Mrs. Lakey-Evans at lakeyevansc@pearlandisd.org

All applications will be considered on a first come/first serve basis.  

When will I learn if I have been accepted to TCCHS?

  • The TCCHS Application Committee will send out the first round of acceptance letters during the last week of January 2025. 
  • It is possible that more students will apply than there are seats available. If this happens, we will generate a waitlist.  The application committee will review the waitlist on February 11, 2025 , March 26, 2025 and May 6, 2025  and send additional acceptance letters as seats become available.

What does the recruitment and enrollment process look like?

  • November 2024- Application Portal Opens for prospective students. 
  • January 2025- the THS application committee will begin the admission process. Applicants (and their parents/guardians) will be informed of their acceptance via the email address listed on the application. 
  • February 2025- Once accepted, all prospective students and their families will be contacted with specific information regarding the course selection process. 
  • February-March 2025- Course Selection for the 2025-26 school year.  

Are you interested in taking Dual Enrollment courses next year?

The Dual Enrollment Program, offered in partnership with Turner College and Career High School and Alvin Community College, provides an opportunity for eligible high school students to enroll in college courses and receive both high school and college credit for the course.  Dual Enrollment courses are optional but are available to Turner students.  Students who would like to take Dual Enrollment courses on Turner's campus will also have to apply to Alvin Community College.

  • Before registering for dual enrollment classes, students must take the TSI exam. More information about TSI may be found here
